This is a Mastodon instance to provide an area for everything related to the type of games in the games.ngo directory. Designers, developers, educators, evangelists, funders, gamers, journalists, players, producers, reporters, researchers, students . . . all are welcome here.
Games can entertain - and inform, educate, persuade, and more.
The games directory at games.ngo is intended to cover a very wide variety of subjects. We are interested in finding new ways that games are being used and being useful. Although the games in the directory aren’t always necessarily entertaining – they are all compelling.
All of the games have been created by nonprofits or for not-for-profit purposes.
These games are all free and we want to support the ecosystem of those who create, research, and use these games.

[The above is from the original Mastodon instance from 2018 and updates are expected throughout for this 2022 revamped version.]
Also, please note that the games.ngo website is only semi-functional right now! Coming soon.
